S1500 #1 Posted June 21, 2007 Last weekend, I came up with bupkis for finding anything interesting for thrifting. The only things I found was a Sega Saturn "flight stick" and an arcade-like controller, both by Sega. But anything else? Nope. Nothing. Have all the thrifts dried up around here in favor of trying to make a quick buck off of EBay? Heck, I wouldn't mind finding a plain cassette recorder for an upcoming project. Radio Shack, in all its anachronistic glory wants $31 for a bleepin' new tape recorder.
Crazy Climber #2 Posted June 21, 2007 If you mean the Twin Cities as in Minneapolis/St. Paul then you will never find jack shit. I have been looking forever and never found a thing. Discland gets an occasional uncommon game but they are not a thrift store and they charge 5 times what it's worth
Trip_Cannon #3 Posted June 21, 2007 Thrift shops are dead EVERYWHERE now. Too many kids stealing from the companies trying to get rich on ebay.

2600Lives #6 Posted June 21, 2007 I hear ya about thrifting being dead. Back in the day, there was nothing quite as exciting as going into a thrift and finding some rare gem with 45 cents grease penciled on it. Now, though, it's all clothes and stuff that smells vaguely of urine filling the stores. Damn shame.
S1500 #7 Posted June 22, 2007 What are you looking for? 2600 stuff? I have some, PM me Might as well bite. 1. Any vectrex cartridges. Not for collecting, but for playing. Ultimately, a multicart. I've owned a veccie fro the last 11 years, no carts for it. 2. A cassette program(it can be any program) for 1 of each system. It can be a copy, doesn't have to be original. I'll explain later.
