Quadhorn #5 Posted June 23, 2007 We used to love those things at school. I can't say I've seen any of them in a long time, though. Are you just collecting the cards? As I recall, there was a TV cartoon series and also Trashcan Trolls cards. Memories of Icutyou's Troll Sushi House flood back even now. Any chance of some photos as the collection progresses? Trade-N-Games #8 Posted June 23, 2007 Most of mine are on both sides of the storage pages and everything pictured is over 15 pounds. I have a few unopened packs somewhere. I also got some of the newer series a year or 2 ago but like my old ones better.
Trade-N-Games #9 Posted June 23, 2007 I have around 88 pages full on both sides with doubles under some and I did a quick flip and saw a few doubles but some were the same picture with different name. So that would be around 1584 cards plus the box full of a couple of hundred.

As I recall, there was a TV cartoon series and also Trashcan Trolls cards. Memories of Icutyou's Troll Sushi House flood back even now. Any chance of some photos as the collection progresses? I am pretty much into just the Garbage Pail Kids for now.......when i was about 9 or 10 my friend's father was working at Topps when these cards were popular........Her father would bring home a bunch of the cards from work ......certain days when we were out playing in the neighborhood yards he would go down the street with his truck and toss them to us. By the time all of us starting collecting them the 2nd series was out and the 1st series seemed to have already been over with. I was good friends with the girl and her father had gotten some first series cards which he didn't want to give out to anyone but she ended up trading some to me. Well i made the mistake of bringing them to school one day and got them taken off of me from the teacher.....i guess i must have been absent the day she gave everyone there confiscated items back because I found out from another friend that someone claimed the cards were theres and took them home with them. I never saw them again so i basically had series 2-5 complete but then when i moved out i left the cards at home and my siblings are quite younger than me the oldest one being 16 right now the youngest just turned 11 so stupidly when i left home I said they could look through the cards since i felt i was getting too old for the stuff. The complete sets i had aren't complete anymore as my 2 sisters used them on different things. When in school i used to have the folders and the giant stickers as well. I had the poster of series 1, but for some strange reason I cut them into cards. I wish i could track down my old friend I am sure she must have a ton of these cards. My family moved when i was about 12 so i lost contact with most of my friends ......only met up with a couple while attending college. Fuck, I remember how horrible that day was when i moved away from my childhood neighborhood. I never found as good of friends as i had there. Thats why the 80's things are a big part of me.......it really makes me remember doing a lot of these fun things with my friends when life was stress free and worry free......when my biggest concern was getting the Schizo Fran card to finish my Series 2. Nice; what happened to all the bubble-gum, though? Did he chew through it all himself? To be fair, it was that bad that it would've tasted better after rolling in the dirt. My family moved [.....] Uh, sorry man, didn't mean to stir things up. If it helps, these things happen even when you don't move home. Changing between school / college / university / the working world is enough all by itself. Being the eldest doesn't help either - you have to deal with everything first. Thats why the 80's things are a big part of me.......it really makes me remember doing a lot of these fun things with my friends when life was stress free and worry free......when my biggest concern was getting the Schizo Fran card to finish my Series 2. Aye; climbing trees on private land, weekend cartoons and Atari 2600's. Once upon a time when life was simple and we were allowed to play Bull-dog in the playground. Happy card hunting, man. Crazy Climber #15 Posted June 23, 2007 I have the complete first edition set (adam bomb, etc..) I really have no idea what it would be worth or even where it is right now since I haven't looked at them since the 80's, there probably still at my parents house. I have some other misc loose ones here at the house that I just found recently while flipping through some old Baseball Cards (3rd, 4th edition, etc...) that you could just have for free if you burn me some damn copies of the Cuttle Cart Underground so I can get back in the HSC, let me know and I'll dig them out I think I want to keep the first editions though, they will bring back a lot of memories of how easy things used to be, some day. edman87k5 #16 Posted June 24, 2007 Garbage pail kids cards came up in conversation yesterday! I remember them well, my parents hated them! I did have a bunch from series 1-10 or 11. Lots of the big ones too and a few sheets of the puffy ones. I wish I had some myself still, mine are long gone.

edman87k5 #18 Posted June 24, 2007 No, they let me have them- reluctantly. They were slowly lost in all the moving after my parents divorced. Try 13 school changes in total and you get the idea that most of my childhood toys are no longer around. That is what brought me here in the first place, to retrieve some of my youthful toys. edman87k5 #23 Posted June 27, 2007 I do remember being really excited when I traded for a karate kate as a kid. No idea whether it was rare or anything, but it was the only 1 I knew of amongst my circle of buddies.

If anyone has any Garbage Pail Kids cards they would like to sell please let me know! Shawn FYI, some of the surplus wrappers were sold (on rolls) for use as packing material. Not very pleasant stuff to work with (shredded computer printouts were much nicer) but I'm sure it was cheap.
