Pizza in Italy isn't like our pizza. It's not what you'd expect. NY pizza's the best in the world. In Orlando, Gino's Pizza on Orange Ave has the best pie. Broadway's pretty good too. Oh man there's this little hole in the wall place in Kissimmee called Al's pizza. Man they have 24 inch pies for 99 cents a slice. There's no restaurant at Al's, just a walk up window. 2600Lives #29 Posted June 25, 2007 Pizza Hut can churn out a good pie when they want to (agreed on Papa John, EWWW, about as bad as Domino's). The one near my house has competent people working there. Every time I've ordered, lots of cheese, the pepperoni is nice and crisp (my favorite way to eat pepperoni), and the dough is fresh. Oh, and stay away from Simple Simon's. The last time I ate there, I'm pretty sure the woman taking the orders just dropped a few tabs of acid, and the pizza sucked the big one. Lol, we've got a new joint in town called Mary Jane's. They're open till...guess what time? 4:20 in the morning. Ok pizza, not the greatest, but hell, when I can't sleep and I'm hungry, it can't be beat, as no other pizza place is open past 10 'round here. Quote Share this post Link to post Share on other sites
Almost Rice #30 Posted June 25, 2007 mmm. Conan's Pizza at 29th and Guadalupe makes THE BEST deep dish pizza I have ever had. My favorite pizza there is the Deep Dish Savage with wheat crust. I cant believe its still around. I havent had a good pizza in Austin since the early 90s. Tried the Austin's Best Pizza or something like that it was only ok. Rik #31 Posted June 30, 2007 I saw on tv a while back this show where they showed disqusting things people do.They showed this pizza parlour where this one employee was pissing in the dough mixer while the pizza dough was mixing,all caught on security camera in the parlour,the 3 employees were just laughing their guts out.I guess that kind of stuff happens everywhere,and you wouldnt even know it anyway,after seeing that,i cut down on fast food,and make my food at HOME! HAHA, pissing in the dough mixer, thats funny. Just hope it wasnt in my pie. I worked at Papa Murphy's once. There pizza sucked ass. I also worked at Dominblow's when I was finishing college. Used to hate it, Now I only like the Deep Dish there. On my last birthday, we went to Chucky Cheese's. That pizza is strangely enjoyable. I think it comes frozen and already prepared, but I thought it was pretty fucking tasty. Too bad the games suck now. +Allan #33 Posted June 30, 2007 (edited) There was a pizza place in Branford, Connecticut where the owner went a little batty and was caught jerking onto the pizzas by one of the employees. The of course shut the place down but there's no telling how many times he had done that in the past. Pizza by the way is an Italian-American invention, not an Italian invention. If anybody thinks chain pizza like Dominos is good has never been to New York, Connecticut, or New Jersey for pizza. There are some exceptions to this like Chicago and other places that have had people from New England bring their recipies to other places but mostly New England is were you find real pizza. After all, that's were it was invented. Plus in Connecticut, it's really the southern part that has the good pizza.
