Looking for...

Recommended Posts

I know I ask a lot of "Where can I find" questions, but Google and Yahoo seem so damned inadequate when you're looking for something specific. One can only do so many searches with so many quotation marks before one gets pissed.

Ok, does anyone know of any online places where I can buy those clear snap-close game storage cases? You know, the kind you get when you buy a game at GameXChange and the like? I'm not one for keeping games in those flimsy cardboard boxes (except the Genny and Master System, their cases are supremely good). I'd much rather keep my games themselves protected from moisture and dust (and impact) with a good plastic case. So, anybody know an online seller? I think the ones that GameXChange uses are by a company called Alpha, but darned if I can find any info online. Thanks for any info!

I remember years ago you could buy those kinds of cases from Wal-Mart that were branded with the Nintendo logo. I bought a few of them way back when, and I believe they are also made by Alpha. I don't know if the company is still in business anymore or not though. Still, you might check Ebay. There are a few listing of such items. Here's links to two lots:

Mine were clear ones, of course. But try searching "NES game cases". Should get you what you need, or a good start toward it.

Whoa, kick ass! Those are pretty much what I'm talking about. Doesn't matter if they're see-through or anything (in fact, opaque will protect games from sun fading), just so long as they protect what's inside. And yeah, I've got LOTS of freakin' games. In fact, prolly 4 or so cases will do me, as I'll also be putting things like my 2600 and 7800 and Vic games and stuff in 'em.

Oooh, and that Library shelf looks very enticing, too. I'd say 2 of those would just about contain my entire game collection, and at 4 feet wide by 6.9 feet tall, they wouldn't take up too much wall space in a well organized gaming room. Man, I can't wait till I get employed again, I'm gonna stock up on stuff like this like there's no tomorrow!

Wow, that site is great! I'm definitely gonna need to throw some money their way shortly...seems like a really good price on those game cases especially. Sad that they don't seem to have anything that'd nicely hold NES games, but i'm definitely gonna need to stock up here for the SNES collection...
