Marco #3 Posted June 24, 2007 Mmm... are we witnessing the end of the ultra-rare status of a boxed Quadrun here.... (warehouse find?) Cheers, Marco
Michael_ #4 Posted June 24, 2007 Mmm... are we witnessing the end of the ultra-rare status of a boxed Quadrun here.... (warehouse find?) Let´s see about that. Two copies don´t make a warehouse, but still... Found the link btw: http://search.ebay.com/quadrun_W0QQ_trksidZm37QQfromZR40
SpendTooMuchOnAtari #5 Posted June 24, 2007 Link? Quadrun Item number: 140132137596 Quadrun Item number: 140132169827 It's the same seller and exactly the same pictures for both auctions. The seller seems to know how rare the game is from his description, why would he sell them at the same time and more importantly, show the same game in the pictures for both auctions. Seems a bit odd to me. Maybe it's an error and they meant to just post one but if not, seems pretty dumb to post them both at the same time and ending on the same day. Seems like the better thing to do would be to space those out a bit and an even better idea to show the actual game you're selling. I don't know...just my two cents. Michael_ #8 Posted June 24, 2007 Exactly. Might even lower the overall price of CIB Quadruns momentarily. It´ll go up again I´m sure.
Shawn #9 Posted June 24, 2007 Exactly. Might even lower the overall price of CIB Quadruns momentarily. It´ll go up again I´m sure. Yep, and so will Ikari, Motorodeo, Bears Bye Bye quadrun, tis a sad day
DeusExMachina #10 Posted June 24, 2007 Exactly. Might even lower the overall price of CIB Quadruns momentarily. It´ll go up again I´m sure. Not if he keeps posting two every week.

DeusExMachina #12 Posted June 24, 2007 Quadrun Item number: 140132169827 "The seller ended this listing early because of an error in the listing." Now the question is...does he only have one or has he suddenly realized the error of listing two at the same time?
video game addict #13 Posted June 24, 2007 Now the question is...does he only have one or has he suddenly realized the error of listing two at the same time? I was guessing he might of listed twice on accident. They were exactly the same pictures for each of the listings with the same descriptions.
lemoncurry #14 Posted June 24, 2007 I was guessing he might of listed twice on accident. They were exactly the same pictures for each of the listings with the same descriptions. If they were out of a case, I would have expected the same pic, but of course it is a tactical mistake to list two at once even if you have two! Buyatari #15 Posted June 25, 2007 Marco whats the back of your look like? I remember a small rip and a pen mark.
Atarimania75 #16 Posted June 25, 2007 Already up to $320 Wow!
froggger2 #17 Posted June 25, 2007 It appears the rip was made to add "A" to the Quadrun 2686 model number. It is possible this "A" and similar "A"s on other Quadrun boxes were added at the Atari factory to indicate a production revision.
homerwannabee #18 Posted June 29, 2007 So it went for $761.51. I wonder who Highesttoyoffer is. I wonder if we have a new buyer entering the market. Is it just me or has a boxed or sealed Quadrun always been $700 to $800. It seems to be the most stable in price compared to the other games.

Sorry Homer, but I have to disagree. 2 years ago, a sealed Quadrun would have gone for $1k+. Its certainly taken a hit in recent time as there appear to have been plenty of CIB copies floating around. This copy is sealed, and sealed games always seem to command a premium. If this was just CIB, I would have expected it to go for around $600. Thats about where this title currently is (for the time being).
Buyatari #20 Posted June 29, 2007 He is right. Quadrun is down. A loose cart would sell for 700-800 at one time and sealed copies bought and sold before for over 1k. Its just not as rare as we once thought. Will it continue to decline ,stay the same or rise again? Short term I'm not sure but think it will rise again over the long haul unless the guys who brought us Motorodeo strike again. So it went for $761.51. homerwannabee #21 Posted June 29, 2007 Yeah, maybe your right that Quadruns are down somewhat. Atleast box wise. I think it is not that Quadrun is any more common than we once thought, I think it has to do with the advent of Ebay we are realizing that a game with a print run of 10,000 is a lot more accessible than we once thought. DeusExMachina #22 Posted June 30, 2007 It seems like CIB Quadruns are showing up more frequently than loose CTCWs. However, the do seem to be rarer than Atlantis II lately.
