Attack of the Timelord! is for the Magnavox Odyssey2 and was programmed by Ed Avertt and was released in 1982.

 

In Attack of the Timelord! you move your cannon side to side attacking ships coming down from above who fly in diffrent attack patterns.

 

Sound familiar? It should, this is a "death from above"shooter that was the norm at the time this game was made ala Space Invaders,Galaxian,and more importantly Galaga,Phoenix,and Demon Attack.

 

The coolest thing about Attack of the Timelord! is the fact that the Timelord himself appears at the beginning of each wave and its a nice visual effect for a otherwise simple game.

 

Graphics and sounds are what you can expect from the Odyssey2 nothing to mind-blowing here just basic and simple shapes and sounds.

 

Attack of the Timelord! controls well but again all you really do is move side to side so its not too diffcult to play this one.

 

What can i say about this game but i like it for some strange reason much like another one of my favorite games Space Jockey for the Atari 2600.Just a really a basic game where you move and shoot and sometimes you need mindless fun like this.Thumbs up for Attack of the Timelord!

 

Note:This game was released in Europe under the name Terrahawks.
