*Official* NES and accesories Guides

Recommended Posts

Okay I would like this to get stickied so this would be eaiser for new people to find how to clean/ refurbish their NES and accesories. My method is first wiping the system and inside the vents and such with a grab-it dusting cloth. Then I use rubbing alchohol to wipe the hard crap off. The I clean games with rubbing alchohol and a Q-tip. Then I take apart my NES and then take the 72 pin connector and put rubbing alchohol on a tooth brush and brush it. Then I bend the contacts and repeat and then dry off with a paper towel inside the pins. Please share your ideas/thoughts/ opinions. Also don't give me the links to all the old threads but as to make this the new official one. Thanks!

Not to be rude or anything, but have you looked at the topics that *are* sticked? Not exactly a lot of FAQ clutter up there, it's easy enough to use the search box.

Yeah, and ive been using these tips for 15+ years. Its not new information.

Also, Ive noticed rubbing alcohol on the case can dry out the plastic and make it brittle. I sometimes use armor all to let some oil soak back into the plastic.
