AtariJr #2 Posted July 6, 2007 i never got to play that game.. i know it was horrid and looked nothing like bomberman, but was it even a typical bomberman game or no? at least the main character looks kinda tight.

I watched 3 minutes of that. I feel dumber for watching it. I'd want those 3 minutes of my life back, but now I'm too dumb to care.
Fighter17 #4 Posted July 7, 2007 God I remember the game when it came out. Who's idea of creating this in the first place?
Bruce Tomlin #5 Posted July 7, 2007 (edited) "This video has been removed by the user." EDIT: LOL Wikipedia - http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Bomberman_Act:_Zero Before its release, Electronic Gaming Monthly, "rewarded" the game with its Shame of the Month award, comparing Bomberman's new Halo-esque getup to Mario morphing into a cold-eyed Mafia hitman, and criticizing the game for its severe lack of play options (only two multiplayer modes). It has also been criticised for having no offline multiplayer option; all multiplayer occurs through Xbox Live. On July 2nd, 2007, Hudson Entertainment's Bee TV video podcast published a featurette about the making of Bomberman LIVE, condemning Act Zero several times throughout the video and at one point calling it a "piece of shit." (this links to the video that is now removed) Edited July 7, 2007 by Bruce Tomlin

This video isn't on YouTube any more either, so I'm curious. Got a link to it anywhere...
JB #7 Posted July 20, 2007 It's sad that a company would actively mock their own product. Especially a relatively recent release. I've seen interviews where they took a more healthy approach, and just talked about what they did wrong(and what they did RIGHT) instead of pointing, laughing, and and calling it a piece of shit. But hey, whatever. It's not like Bomberman is relevant anymore. So they may as well just cater to the existing Bomberman fans. That'll give them a nice supplement to their income for a while. Not enough to maintain a company, of course. That's why they went bankrupt. But I doubt Konami minds a reliable, low-effort niche.

What they did is called "humbling yourself" and it's a healthy thing, plus it shows they have a sense of humor.
Jess Ragan #10 Posted July 20, 2007 So you're telling me that nobody fed this through Vixy.net or one of the video grabbing plug-ins for Mozilla Firefox? Nobody at all? JR
Hyper_Eye #11 Posted July 20, 2007 Bomberman isn't relevant anymore? The new Bomberman Live looks awesome and I intend to have it.
