lucifershalo #1 Posted July 11, 2007 I always thought that the Adam computer for the Colecovision was just an interfqce but it seems to have its specific games are they different than for the Colecovision? More powerful? is there Donkey Kong for Adam - different than for CV? what is the support for Adam? cart? tape? disk? any websites that gives infos it is a shame that there is no website with complete list of colecovision games, with details, screenshots,.... like for Intellivision, Vectrex and Atari
Bill Brasky #2 Posted July 11, 2007 (edited) There are two versions of the ADAM. One was an add-on that plugged into the front of your Colecovision. The other was a stand alone unit with a Colecovision board built in. Yes, there's ADAM specific software on tape and disc but the ADAM could also play CV carts. The ADAM isn't more powerful, it uses the same Z-80 cpu as the CV but it has more memory and is greatly expandable with plug in cards. The ADAM is almost like a clone of the MSX computer. The games are usually much larger than cart games and are writable so you can save high-scores and initials etc.. There are many sites with CV screenshots but only a couple with ADAM info. http://www.sacnews.net/adamcomputer/ Edited July 11, 2007 by Bill Brasky

Pixelboy #5 Posted July 12, 2007 Too bad colecovision.nl no longer exists... RIP... But at least there's colecoworld.com, although it's never updated.

You're right...which is why I totally forgot about that one. lucifershalo makes a good point though...there are quite a few fairly good Coleco sites out there, but there's no really great 'definitive' CV/ADAM site, and, as you mention, the ones that are out there are rarely updated.
