What's the most you've ever paid for one game?

Recommended Posts

A few years back for me was Dragonball GT Final Bout for Playstation. I paid $280 when it was rare. Now its nothing but my copy has been gone for quite some time now.

For non coin-op games, it would be Mortal Kombat II for the SNES, bought new on release. I think I paid $80.........

I bet it is. I wouldn't mind a pinball machine or 2 myself. Right now, i just have two arcade cabinets. By the way, nice machine.

$180 for 3DO's Dinopark Tycoon

and the only reason i paid that much is i needed it to get all the games released the the 3DO

other wise i would never pay that much for any game

the other game was $75 for Luciennes Quest for the 3DO

then a couple of Saturn RPGs for $55 to $70

2k has been my max so far for one game.

2000? Damn, what was the name of the game? I almost soiled my pants when i heard that a boxed and sealed 2600 unit sold for 2000. :-o

80 bucks for a new Vampire Hunter D import for the PSX. I thought, "Hey, this will NEVER be released in the US!". Bleh. Good game, though, and the Japanese dub is funny to listen to.

Arcade machine: $500 for Ms. Pac-Man

Console: $170 for Battlesphere Gold

Those are exceptions really, vast majority of my games have been bought locally for under $10, including the CIB River Patrol ;)

I feel guilty about paying $50 for a new game, so I don't think I'd ever pay more than that for a classic game unless I become a millionaire. I'd love to have a few arcade games and pinball games, plus the money to pay someone to keep them running.
