Video Invaders

Does anyone remember a book called Video Invaders by Steve Bloom? I read it in school so many times i was hooked and eventually kept it and told the librarian i lost it just so i could keep it. Anyway, i just recently picked one up again about 2 years ago and was wondering if anyone else knows about it or owns one.

BTW, since we are talking video game books, to me the best book I've found about the arcade and video game scene is Invasion of the Space Invaders by Martin Amis. I have a set of complete scans of the book, but I'm still looking for it in the odd chance that someone has it for sale or trade.

 

But back to the Steve Bloom book, a great read, neat cover (graphics from the obscure coin-op Pleaides )and still not too impossible to find cheap.

I have that book by Martin Amis.. my dad bought it for me on one of his trips back in around 1982 or something and I still have it. Turns out the guy is actually a really famous author and that book is one of his oddball ones which sometimes goes a hundred or so bucks if you buy it secondhand.

 

I've scanned a page here or there but Technosis you say you have a complete scan of the book? Is there any way you can share it out (www.megaupload.com) or something? And where did you find it? I was thinking of doing a complete scan to share it out myself, but if it's already available, then I'd love to have a copy

On second thought, i think i'll pass on Invasion of the Space Invaders. I just went on amazon.com and found them running between $150 to 800. Thats rediculous! and hardly worth it. I'll take my chances, maybe finding it one day at a yard sale or thrift store, otherwise i won't get it.

$800 ?? Screw that man I'll scan it eventually and share it out. It has lots of nice graphics and pictures but it's also good read with some stories and stuff. The guy's an actual writer after all. That being said, I'm still waiting on Technosis to respond if he can share out the scans if he's already got them
