Wilbert #1 Posted July 14, 2007 MESS 0.117 has been released. Here is a summary of the changes to the a2600 and a2600p since 0.116: - The crashing of a lot games in 0.116 has been fixed. - Sound improvements - More graphics fixes - Improved RIOT emulation - Preliminary DPC support (sound has issues and some enemies disappear every now and then) Known bugs: - Quadrun has some background noise, possibly other games too - An invader demo from Thomas Jentsch does not display properly - Atoms in Meltdown are slightly off (will be fixed in 0.118) - Video Chess has some artifact on the left side of the screen (will be fixed in 0.118) - Snoopy and the Red Baron has artifact in the mountains (will be fixed in 0.118) - Some games use different screen refresh times and don't display properly (most notably Acid Drop and PAL60 games) - Supercharger emulation is still not 100% Thomas Jentsch has been kind enough to help us do some extra testing/verification which made it possible to find and fix the harder bugs. Thomas, thank you for that.
atwwong #2 Posted July 15, 2007 I'm really impressed at how the 2600 MESS drivers have improved in recent versions. The last time I tried out 2600 games in MESS back in December 2006, it was a mess. Now MESS properly emulates a lot more (including HAT ). Well done, MESS team! Keep up the great work!
