Longhorn Engineer #1 Posted July 30, 2007 (edited) Hello! This time I have for sale 2 Atari 2600 Heavy Sixers. Both have been reconditioned and tested for 24 hours to ensure their reliability. Unfortunately I do not have any spare hookups for these Ataris. I am hoping to net $35 each (shipping not included). Shipping would run about $15-$16 to anywhere in the Continental USA. I also offer A/V mods for the Atari 2600 running at $35 which including parts. Also for sale is an Atari Heavy Sixer Joystick (CX10). It has been cleaned up and still has the Hex disc attached to the top. I do not know how much they are worth so send me offers. Added a CX10 Heavysixer joystick. Fort Apocalypse #3 Posted August 3, 2007 Curious... what was done as part of the reconditioning process? Do you also replace the switches?
Longhorn Engineer #4 Posted August 3, 2007 The reconditioning process consisted of repairing the consoles, cleaning the cart slot, cleaning the case, and replacing any worn out parts. The only switch that was replaced was the Game Select Switch on one of them because the spring had gone bad. Then they where tested for 24 hours to ensure all the problems had been accounted for (the Atari Field manual says 2 hours is plenty).

Brian R. #7 Posted August 13, 2007 (edited) What kind of video and audio output do you get on these? One better than the other? And with this... I have a "light" sixer. And with its recessed - deep - cartridge port, I've had some carts scraped by the metal inside. A tight fit. Does that happen with these? About your mods... do they have to be s-video? What about composite? Edited August 13, 2007 by Brian R.

What about composite? Through my Switch box they are virtually identical and the output looks like my personal Heavy Sixer before I S-Video Modded it. Yes, Heavy Sixers do have the tendency to have a tight fit on later made carts. I bet a little action from some plyers can fix the issue tho. No they can also be composite as well, it just isn't as sharp as S-Video tho .

chubsta #11 Posted August 21, 2007 id be interested in the joystick but have absolutely no idea how much they are worth, so would end up giving you either an insulting offer or one that is well over-the-top! any idea how much you are looking for?
