A Sprite #1 Posted August 6, 2007 Can the polygon models and sprites be separated from the games and placed on display? An enemy in a game seldom is seen for longer than it takes to press a single button.

A Sprite #3 Posted August 6, 2007 http://homepage.mac.com/qubedstudios/StarF...jectDecoder.htm A still pic wouldn't be bad either, if something like that is out of reach.

Ah I see what you mean....you would at least need to do like the hackers do and 'rip' the models from the game program data files. I could show you seprate models and sprites from our games because obviously I have the originals. What you are asking for is not hard to do other than the fact that you need to find hackers to get the data for you , mine it out yourself, or somehow talk the developers into coughing them up(good luck trying that.) Gorf #5 Posted August 6, 2007 Actually thre are sources to some Jaguar games out there andyou can use that to show models. 3D models are hard to use as comparison unless you match the output display of the console/system they are from....displaying 3D models will all look similar in the same viewer unless you import system atrributes along with them. I'd like to see both, if possible. Edited August 6, 2007 by A Sprite
Tursi #8 Posted August 9, 2007 Unlike some systems, there really are no standard file formats for models on the Jag, and sprites would be hit or miss. You probably won't see automated tools anytime soon for that reason, they'd mostly have to be tailored to each game.
