The rubber joystick cover came off, how do I secure it back on?

Use a letter opener, knife blade or other thin object to pull the plastic fastening ring up a bit if needed, then just flex the rubber boot and slip part of the edge under the ring. Then you can work your way around it with your fingers and massage it under all the way around. Once it's under, you can even use the same method to rotate it to line up straight if desired.

 

I recommend you do NOT try to remove the plastic ring; they are quite difficult to remove without breaking one or two of the tabs off, even if you open up the case.
