Marco #1 Posted August 11, 2007 I have a Computer Space cabinet without the television. Anyone know which model was originally used, and if that model was also sold separately in stores (as a "stand alone" tv set)? Cheers, Marco
Artlover #2 Posted August 11, 2007 I have a Computer Space cabinet without the television. Anyone know which model was originally used, and if that model was also sold separately in stores (as a "stand alone" tv set)? http://everything2.com/index.pl?node=Computer%20Space The monitor was a standard store bought 13" black and white television set, several different brands were used (making finding a replacement fairly easy, even today). http://www.klov.com/game_detail.php?letter...mp;game_id=7381 # 13-inch General Electric TV http://www.cedmagic.com/history/computer-space.html the display was nothing more than a 13" GE Television
Marco #3 Posted August 11, 2007 Okay cool - much appreciated! Now, what would be a good place to look for these, besides eBay? Cheers, Marco
Prodos8 #4 Posted August 11, 2007 You might check around at thrift stores or second hand stores in your area. I see old TVs around here at goodwill and such, though mostly now they are all color types. Good luck finding one!
Cassidy Nolen #5 Posted August 12, 2007 Marco, The original (the only one I have EVER heard came factory) was a GE 13 knob-type tv. The volume and on/off switch are still used. The tuner was disabled with what John's Jukes (in Canada) described to me as a simple bias circuit which I was never able to duplicate. At one time, I know he had a spare tv for it. Not cheap but its original. Jeff from Videotopia.com had some sort of closed circuit tv camera monitor showing a very nice screen image a few years back. I'll pm you some other details.
