Marius
My 2 absolute favorite 2 player games (1 vs 1) are: Dynakillers Blip but I don't know if these work through the net. I would like to know more 1 vs 1 games too. But the net-option is not in my interest. I want to beat my wife on the atari ))) Marius p.s. she hates blip, but loves dynakillers

Ice Cream Jonsey
Castle Crisis is amazing. It's one of the best games I've ever played, period. (Is that available as its own ATR file anywhere? Or can a cartridge still be purchased for the 8-bit version? I read something that said that Infogrames (who became Atari) was trying to stop the distribution of it.) lightman
What good 2 player games are there for Atari 8 bit? I am still looking to try out the netplay. Are there any good war games? Archon Archon II Ballblazer Bruce Lee International Karate International Karate 2 Mail Order Monsters One on One Realm of Impossibility Snow Fight Spy vs Spy Spy vs Spy 2 : The Island Caper Spy vs Spy 3 : Arctic Antics For co-op, I always liked Bruce Lee and Realm of Impossibility. Bruce Lee isn't technically co-op, but it can be. Besides, what's the fun of having unlimited lives against your limited opponent? ;P
+davidcalgary29
What, no mention of MIDI Maze? That one should certainly make this list.
nathanallan
did they make midi-maze for the 8-bit?? I thought that was for the ST.
Allas
Midi-Maze exist for Atari 8bit on cartridge platform. Was programmed in 1989 but never launched, something as Commando cartridge. Few people have this cartridge and I never found a dumped ROM for the emulator. It appears to be a great multiplayer game with high quality, technically the first multiplayer shootfire game on first person view on the history. Even Atari 8bit players could play Midi-maze with ST users. Midi Maze
kchris73
Race in Space. Simple, fast to play (e.g., 1-10 minutes), and adjustable parameters for good variety. Road Block, because it's simple and fast and supports up to four players. MULE, even though it's more complex to learn and takes much longer to play. Great humor and intelligent balancing of difficulty by the computer to try to keep games close. Edited August 25, 2007 by kchris73
a8maestro
Well, two of my favorite multiplayer games are Dandy Dungeon, up to 4 on a single computer, and Maze of Agdagon(midi maze like) using Gamelink II, which can have up to 8 players with own computers.
