atari system II 720 problems! heeeellllppp!

hey folks. love this game. I own 2 machines. one works great beautiful dedicated 720ness,...the other a giant, ugly, mess w/ two jacked harnesses, and 3 board sets. my problem: none of the board sets work...an image shows up..either just a gray screen, a red screen, or a jumbled mess of ramdom geometric type images. wtf. if anyone has any ideas...other than adding gasoline to the control panel and letting her burn (I love this machine) please, please cointact me.
