Atari Flashback 2 Controllers Question

Recommended Posts

Since everything about the Atari Flashback 2 game system is based on the Atari 2600 game system, I was wondering if the Flashback Controllers would also work on any of the older Atari 2600 systems?

Yes, the Flashback 2 controllers are compatible, although I've heard the controller plugs can be a tight fit in the older controller ports. From what I've heard, the Flashback 1 controllers are not compatible.

FB1 controllers are nintendo controllers. FB2 controllers are Atari controllers.

The FB2 controllers are pretty flimsy. I snapped one stick in half playing Pete Rose on my 7800. And that's not exactly a crazy stick killing game.

Speaking of joysticks, anyone get the "gold" 2600 sticks from Best?

I've been meaning to pick up a couple of the gold 2600 sets from Best as well, will probably do that next time I place an order with them. The user comments on their website make them sound like the second coming, though it'd be nice to hear some feeback from a more objective source ;)
