IceCold #1 Posted July 16, 2002 I just bought a Sega Genesis with 14 games from a flea market. The Sega Genesis turns on and I can play it, but the sound isn't right. If I turn the volume up on the tv really loud I can here the sounds, it's just that they're not even close to loud enough. Anybody know what I should do? maybe clean it up? glitch #2 Posted July 16, 2002 If it's an older Genesis w/ the headphone jack you may want to take a look to make sure the contacts on the jack aren't forced together, shorted, or something is stuck in there. I had a Genesis model I that I picked up at a garage sale which had the same problem. It turned out that a small ball bearing (BB) was stuck in the headphone jack and prevented the sound from going to the TV (although if I turned the TV up all the way I could faintly hear the sound).
