SINGLE TOOTH #1 Posted September 3, 2007 Looking for a board from a 2600. It can have some problems like bum switches and stuff, and long as the basics work. It doesnt have to have the chips in either, I have some I can use. I just need a bare bones board. Thanks
A.J. Franzman #2 Posted September 4, 2007 I might have one or two that would fit your needs. I could probably dig up a 4-switcher that's really bare (stripped of all parts). I have another that may or may not need some switches replaced, and may or my not have all the ICs. I'll have to dig it out to refresh my memory of exactly what's wrong with it. SINGLE TOOTH #3 Posted September 4, 2007 (edited) Yeah, one that is completely stripped won't do. But, it can have the ic's missing and switches missing, power jack missing, stuff like that. The cart port could probably be missing too. Edited September 4, 2007 by SINGLE TOOTH
A.J. Franzman #4 Posted September 5, 2007 I found the 4-switch motherboard that I was thinking of, and it looks like I did more work on it than I thought. The power jack and one of the difficulty switches have been replaced. The chips on this board were not socketed, but the TIA has been removed and a socket (made of snappable SIP socket strips) installed. A note that I taped to it says it's OK but the color switch needs cleaning (I'll squirt some alcohol in it and work it back and forth a few times). There is no TIA chip in it, and I don't have any right now to re-test it with.
SINGLE TOOTH #5 Posted September 5, 2007 (edited) Well, if you get it figured out, shoot me a price? If its untested, thats ok.. I guess. I am a risk taker. Edited September 5, 2007 by SINGLE TOOTH
A.J. Franzman #6 Posted September 7, 2007 It was tested, just not recently. I believe my notes; this board is OK -- the removed TIA chip was the primary bad part (besides the power jack and switches).
