Atari-Jess #1 Posted September 5, 2007 (edited) Latest edit: I finally have a fantastic host, so I am working on repairing my gallery section! I started a little side thing, I work in somewhat of a specific style, so take a look at the site I made for it: I basically make anime-chibi-style plush toys. often with animal features, but obviously without too. http://neko.phy.ca If you like what I do, please consider commissioning me to make something for you, a partner, a child, etc. Thanks Edited September 27, 2007 by Atari-Jess

Crazy Climber #8 Posted September 7, 2007 Cool website. I think it is awesome when people start there own buisness, thats what the USA is all about If I am ever in need of a stuffed animal I will contact you Do you make dog toys? If not you might want to consider that market. I think people would like a stuffed Rosie O'donnel or Woopie Goldberg for there dog to chew up
Atari-Jess #9 Posted September 8, 2007 Not a bad idea, the only problem with dog toys is that people aren't typically willing to pay much for em, and for all the work I put into em, while I wouldn't mind if a dog tor em up, it wouldn't be worth my while to make a lot if I had to deal with much lower prices for them. Still though, not a bad idea at all. Perhaps if I get good enough that I can really whip them out fast (Im pretty fast as it is now!) then it would seem a lot less work to make them like that. I much enjoy novelty factors over pure profits, and the art and creation of the plushies themselves over the profits. But yeah! I will keep it in mind, absolutely. I am always open to peoples ideas, advice, and comments.
Chickybaby #10 Posted September 8, 2007 I never knew you were so creative in an artist type way! What a darn clever idea! Although I don't like anime, I can appreciate the stitch work and labor that went into making those. With being a "stay-at-home" mommy, I have to figure out a source of income myself. But don't worry you won't have any competition from me in this department.

Atari-Jess #13 Posted September 9, 2007 It no workey for me... Last time the host went belly up, so I kept the url but changed the host, I'm not sure why it wouldnt be working for you that time... an alternate url is http://neko.exofire.net so if the first one isn't working, maybe directly from the server will... Let me know, Greg.
Gregory DG #14 Posted September 9, 2007 Ok, both links work now. Dunno what was going on. Very cute work!
Atari-Jess #15 Posted September 9, 2007 I never knew you were so creative in an artist type way! What a darn clever idea!Although I don't like anime, I can appreciate the stitch work and labor that went into making those. With being a "stay-at-home" mommy, I have to figure out a source of income myself. But don't worry you won't have any competition from me in this department. I have way too many hobbies and talent like things Thats what my mother did too when we were younger, she made crafts. I appreciate that you can see the effort I've been putting into these little guys, and I intend to really start pushing myself in making more and more elaborate ones. All good ideas mean there is competition somewhere out there, and I already know a few people doing this, but I do feel my work is different from theirs, especially at my price point. Anyway, thank you for your thoughts

BigO #20 Posted September 21, 2007 I actually made some custom plush toys myself once. They were themed for a web community that I belonged to. I think I did 16 or so. Basically gave them a way. What a pain. Best of luck to you. I'm sure you're better at it than I was.

+Random Terrain #24 Posted September 22, 2007 It doesn't cost too much to have a real web site with a real Web address. It's better to get a permanent address now (like www.buymyshit.com) if you think your site might become popular.
Atari-Jess #25 Posted September 22, 2007 (edited) I would love to have a real address and real hosting if I could pay with paypal but not have to subscribe to it by backing of a credit card, and I would rather not pay for a year in advance... I fixed the suspension of the site though. (but it might take a while before that updates) apparently I was supposed to log into the forum twice a month or something This is very embarassing.
