Plug-play...Hungry Hungry Hippos?!

So there I was in Wal-Mart, checking out the toy section to see if the new SW transformers have hit the shelves yet...and I found myself in the plug-play section.

And there are new plug-play games...based on classic games, multiples on each controller.

There one that has Simon on it...and another that has Hungry Hungry Hippos on it.

WHAT THE FUCK?!

Is there really this clamoring for a plug-play version of a game they can pick up in the toy section either as the full-size or the travel version?

 

And how would you play it? It's a multiple-player game that all players playing simultaneously. How do you play that with only one controller? What, you versus 3 cpu opponents?

Did we really need to bring cpu opponents to Hungry Hungry Hippos?

Suddenly the GameStation and the NES-on-a-chip are looking good...
