How the heck do you save in this game?

there's a room with a crystal/boxy like thing in the middle, walk or jump into it and it will ask if you want to save.

Yeah, there are periodic rooms with floating d20s you can walk into and save the game. I think you press up or something to get the save point to activate.

Just watch out for the weird looking ones. They give you creepy sex dreams involving your mother.
