Force Seven (C-64)

This is the best sort-of-Gauntlet-rip-off I've ever played. Mindscape released it in 1987, and I've been beating the first level, over and over, on an emulator. It sure is fun.

But therein lies my problem. Does anyone know how to exit a level once all the prisoners has been rescued?!

The background turns blue to let you know you can leave. I've tried every key on the keyboard, walked into every graphic in the level (it's odd trying to exit through a potted plant), etc., and still can't figure out how to advance to level 2.

If anyone can find the manual online, I'd be much obliged. I've looked and looked and looked, to no avail.

I haven't played it in YEARS but I seem to remember a blueprint or level reader and if you killed it, you would be stuck on that level.

 

Or maybe I'm thinking of some other game. This sure was helpful huh?

Closer than I've gotten! Thanks -- I'll try not to kill anything that doesn't look like a bad guy, and see if that works. (I did blow up rather a lot of things, and they weren't all moving.)

Awesome! That must be the problem, since I keep destroying all of those blue square things. You know how it is....if something blows up, one can't help but shoot it.

Thanks for the help. I didn't know why I didn't think to look for reviews of the game instead of manuals. I appreciate it.
