Recommended Posts

So what do you use? I just got my new switch box in the mail re-designed to fit todays televisions for 6 bucks works great and I dont have to disconnect my cable and at radio shack I payed 5 bucks for the coxial adapter and I have to disconnect my cable and switch off my cable box to switch games.

Switchboxes are unnecessary. I just use a RF to coax adaptor for everything... 2600, 5200, 7800 and XEGS.

The coax on my tv is used only for the game systems. I run my cable through a video connection, via my vcr.

I use coax and a 5 input switchbox / splitter thingy that I got at Radio Shack and everything plugs into that and you just press a button to switch between cable, dvd, vcr, atari 2600 and 7800

There's even an 8 input one as well I believe.

No plugging or unplugging anything.

Combo.

I use a 5 switch box plaugged into the aux port of the tv. I have a VCS hooked to one of the switches and a coax adapter stuck to the cable in on the VCR and that is where I plug my ckassic games when I want to play them. Except the RCA Studio II and the Magnavox Odyssey which use a really old (and odd) switch box since they have a different male connector than later units. I actually have one of the Odyssey switch boxes attached to the input leads of a re-designed switch box and I screw that into the cable in of the VCR when I want to play those.

With TiVo, VCR, cable box, DVD player....I actually have to disconnect something to use my Atari. :( (Or are there switchboxes out there now that produce as good a picture as the coax-to-RCA converter?)
