Cybergoth #1 Posted September 13, 2007 Hi there! Sorry if this has been posted already: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jwC544Z37qo :-o (It's actually starting "slow", after approx. 3 minutes it gets "fast"...) Greetings, Manuel

Gregory DG #3 Posted September 13, 2007 I can't help but think this had to be faked somehow.
tmont #4 Posted September 13, 2007 That's kind of a weak version Tetris; he's "saving" the long pieces until he's ready. Pretty cool, though. You can actually do-it-yourself and watch other's do-it-themselves on this version of flash tetris here. If you can last more than a minute on the death, mirrored, flipped mode, I'm impressed. here's a high score
Cybergoth #5 Posted September 13, 2007 That's kind of a weak version Tetris; he's "saving" the long pieces until he's ready. I wouldn't consider it "weak", especially when the pieces are invisible while falling
tmont #6 Posted September 13, 2007 I consider the act of saving pieces until you're ready for them weak, regardless of context. Takes away from the randomness of the game, and that's what Tetris is all about (well, besides skill and reflex and puzzle solving and foresight and hand-eye coordination and...). Certainly an impressive video, though.
vdub_bobby #7 Posted September 13, 2007 According to the Tetris Guideline, "holding" pieces is one of the "current specification that The Tetris Company enforces for making all new (2001 and later) Tetris game." That's an interesting wiki, by the way.
tmont #8 Posted September 13, 2007 That is an interesting wiki. I still think it's weak.
shadow460 #9 Posted September 14, 2007 I never got into the single player Tetris much. It's massive fun with two players, though.
Lord Thag #10 Posted September 14, 2007 I stopped thinking I was good at Tetris when, as a kid, I loaned my mom (who was sick) my Gameboy with the original Tetris cart. I thought I was pretty good. Her first game lasted all night. She was well past 10,000 lines when I checked. I played Castlevania and Zelda after that
