I called Best Electronics Friday afternoon at 3 pm their time and ordered a couple of rebuilt gold dot 5200 controllers. I got them in the mail TODAY.....Monday!!!!!!! Oh and I live in Dallas Tx so it's not like I live in the next town over.

Best Electronics is fast as hell. 1-2 day delivery in my experience. Great service. If you call your order in, you're likely to spend half an hour on the phone yakking about Atari and the good old days. The website will just about make you go blind, but they have SOOO much cool stuff if you dig. Great store!

I have ordered from Brad several times, and delivery is usually inside a week, which is awesome considering I live on the other side of the pond

My day job is about 3 miles from Best Electronics, it took me 10 minutes to find the place once when I went to get a replacement 800XL mobo, looks like this old ancient werehouse, probably intentional. I didn't get the tour, but the front office was filled with computers, didn't take inventory of how much Atari Stuff was running.

 

I peeked in the window and saw lots of boxes stacked up on top of one another. Unless you knew what you were looking at you'd swear the place was abandoned. Guess ya gotta keep those overhead costs down.

 

I may have to get some 5200 controllers, I'm tired of fiddling with the ones I have, just want to play some adventure.

I haven't checked the 5200 page in awhile.....I need to get mine out to play again, or possibly get some new sticks first.....
