itaych #26 Posted October 8, 2007 A few years ago someone asked me to pack ICE-T so it would boot from a 1mbit cartridge, you can find it here: http://www.atarimax.com/flashcart/forum/viewtopic.php?t=246 I'd also love to see any new development of ICE-T. Steve From that link:Ice-T has been modified to run with extended memory and the maxflash cartridge at the same time. Cool, how did you do that? The bank-selecting code is such a mess, it barely makes sense even if you have the sources -itay
classics #27 Posted October 8, 2007 Cool, how did you do that? The bank-selecting code is such a mess, it barely makes sense even if you have the sources I believe I just modified the accesses to Port-B so that the OS remained in RAM. Steve

atari8warez #29 Posted October 10, 2007 hi guys, I am having some problems with this term program. [...] Hmm. How about I release the source code, and let you guys try and fix the bugs? Anyone interested in this? (I can't do any of it myself, the best I can offer is to answer to any questions you might have about the code while debugging.) -itay Thanks Itay, I downloaded the source and will try to debug (sometime when I have some spare time) and see what's happening with my XE. Slor #30 Posted June 5, 2008 cool! now I can make a german version (font) without hacking the binary! First, Kudos to Itay for your fine work and for releasing the source code as well! If any of you guys are serious about doing some work on this (or have already started), please drop me a line. I've actually been wanting for a while to get ahold of source and add recognition of the IRC protocol (specifically for those of us who use various means to telnet from our A8s and chat in the Atari channels), and I plan to get going on that right away. Itay - if you're still monitoring any of this, feel free to stop by #atari on irc.newnet.net sometime for a visit. James
