edweird13 #1 Posted September 26, 2007 I recently got a Colecovision it plays great but it has no color. I have it connected with a RCA to Coax connector. I really dont want to do a video mod. Any ideas?
Bill Brasky #2 Posted September 27, 2007 I tried Turbo with the driving controller and it a blast. I just wish it was in color. Did you mess with the channel 3/4 output switch? Is it on the right channel? Sometime I would get a bad picture if I wasn't using a tv/game switch box it liked. The rf modulator may have drifted out of spec so that it's not completely tuned to channel 3 or 4. If you open it up there's a part to adjust it on top of the rf modulator box. edweird13 #3 Posted September 27, 2007 I will try to open up the rf switch. I tried changing channels and it didnt help. Does it have a adjustable pot in the rf switch?
Bill Brasky #4 Posted September 27, 2007 Yes. You'll need something small like a jeweler's screwdriver to get at it through a tiny hole in the circuit board.
Colecovision #5 Posted September 27, 2007 I never had black and white but sometimes the reset button can affect the color. Try messing with it or maybe cleaning it. I have a AC mod on mine and it's great.

Bill Brasky #10 Posted September 28, 2007 It doesn't matter if it's new/unused. Some CV's won't work right with one ps but work perfect with another ps. You can take the ps that wouldn't work right with that CV and try it with another CV and it works fine. They're finicky with their ps. I've had to go through 8-10 CV's and match them up with ps's that they "like" by trying them all.
