Herbertsmart
I'm in. Dave does some great work and this would work very well in my newly acquired Chiller! Sweet that you found a dedicated Chiller!!! I'm really looking forward to being able to play that one on the multi kit. How much did the Chiller set you back? Post some photos, I'd love to see it! jedijeff
I was hoping for years Clay would finish his multi-exidy project. Good to see someone had time to make one. Do you have any more information on this? Web page link? Thanks. Jeff
Herbertsmart
Cool $600 is a good deal on a Chiller in my opinion!! Nice score. Post some pics if you can. Here are some links to Dave's old pages about the multi exidy kit when he made the first run. http://widel.com/files/440inst.htm http://www.widel.com/440faq.htm Anyone else chime in if you are interested in getting on the list for a kit. Thanks!
Herbertsmart
After several years of persistant pestering, Mike Doyle and Dave Widel will be doing another run of the Multi Exidy 440 kits. There is a long thread on it over on KLOV: http://forums.arcade-museum.com/showthread.php?t=34588 This is a one time deal with no plans for future production of the kit. So if you are interested in this great kit get over to KLOV and send Mike your pre-order deposit. i think they are taking pre-orders for two weeks, then closing the window to order them and building, testing, and shipping the completed kits. Game list includes: 1 Crossbow 2 Cheyenne 3 Combat 4 Crackshot 5 Chiller 6 Clay Pigeon 7 Hit 'n Miss 3.0 8 Who Dunit 9 Catch-22 pre-orders also recieve a limted edition Exidy t-shirt! Thanks to Mike and Dave for making this happen!!!
Dav
Thanks to Mike and Dave for making this happen!!! Actually you can thank Herbertsmart, if it wasn't for his pestering all these years I never would have gotten around to it. And Mike is doing all the work, I'm just getting out of his way. I don't have the time for arcade stuff any more. I think I first announced the project on this forum. http://www.atariage.com/forums/topic/75150-my-exidy-crossbow-project/ I did a run of 7 or 8 kits took forever to sell them. I don't think I every did come up with a perfect solution to the dip problem though, I did add a method to turn games on and off.
