lucifershalo #1 Posted September 29, 2007 I have items for sale on ebay for the moment, some are limited editions homebrews that I bought at the time my way of seeing my collection hobby is that if I dont play a game anymore, I wont keep it just for the sake of having it on my shelf I am not criticize people that do that but each his own way .... I am calling myself a gamer-collector so I decide to get rid of some games maybe it is a wrong feeling but I nearly feel guilty like a criminal or a traitor because I am selling those what is your opinion? lucifershalo #2 Posted September 29, 2007 the creator of one of the game I am selling posted a topic about the item being sold and I remember the big debate when someone put Adventure 2 on ebay even if I dont have to justify myself I think I am buying enough homebrews to prove that I am not a speculator but somewhere , yes of course I hope to sell them at the highest price possible so I can buy more in the future I am working in the comic books business so I know about speculation alternate and limited edition covers
atwwong #3 Posted September 29, 2007 I was implying with my that HAT had reached a milestone of sorts: that it was being offered on ebay. That's all. I didn't mean for you to feel bad about your choice of what to do with your games. Cheers, Tony
lucifershalo #4 Posted September 29, 2007 thanks Tony, at the same time (and I am not saying that to "diminish my crime" lol) I am surprised that I never hear or read anything about your game it is a wonderful project from the game itself to the box and instructions presentation and in the french revival magazine I reviewed and give it a high score even if it is not my kind of game
thomasholzer #5 Posted September 29, 2007 There's nothing wrong with selling anything you have purchased in the first place, after all, we are living in a free society, even in Belgium.

jboypacman #8 Posted September 29, 2007 You bought it so you own it, so its yours to sell or trade or to give away if you want to.Thats the way i look at it anyway.
+Wonder007 #9 Posted September 29, 2007 My belief is that if you own the cart, you can do whatever you want with it unless there was a precondition to buy the item (in that case I would talk to the person to see if something can be done). Now, the readers from countries in Cuba, North Korea and Myanmar, how could you sell one of your carts? is it legal in your country to do so without governmental authorization? Oh, they just blocked the internet in Myanmar, please answer when it is unblocked........
Rik #10 Posted September 29, 2007 (edited) You worry too much about what other people think,You bought them, they're yours, and no one can say squat, you do what YOU WANT WITH THEM! Edited October 7, 2007 by Rik
Video #11 Posted September 30, 2007 Unless you burned the roms yourself, I don't see any issues at all. I mean, if it was bought, hey, do whatever. Kinda sad that you don't find enjoyement out of them anymore, but hey, at least you can use the money to buy a new game that might be more amuseing to you
Jess Ragan #12 Posted September 30, 2007 You're too sensitive. Who the hell cares what you sell on eBay as long as you're not breaking any copyrights? If I bought a copy of Chase the Chuckwagon from you and it turned out to be made a month ago in your basement, that would make me angry. This doesn't. Crazy Climber #14 Posted October 1, 2007 Nothing wrong with re selling limited games. How are people who didn't get a chance to go to the shows ever going to find them, you are doing people who really want these games a favor. With out you selling them they would never get them since they are limited edition. If the people who made them get mad then they should make more. SRGilbert #15 Posted October 1, 2007 I'd say the real issue is when you've got someone who buys multiple copies of a limited edition item, waits until they sell out, and turns them for a big profit. Not unlike scalping tickets in a way. Again, there is no legal reason that you can't do it with games, but I can see how some folks would get annoyed. Phantom #16 Posted October 7, 2007 HAT sounds like its a cool game. Is the ROM available for us CC2 people? Even if it is, I'd still love to buy the actual cart at some point so if someone has one reasonably priced for sale in the future, please look me up. Thanks
