raindog151 #1 Posted October 5, 2007 Before I start the game over from scratch... I'm about 15 hours in to FF3, started playing it on my Yobo Fami Twin, I'm to the point where I've completed two of the three quests (right after the river scene) and everytime I go to choose the last (Terra's) quest, when Mog picks her her name is now TERQA and all sorts of weird stuff happens (Terra is a Mog, Edgar is random sprites, Esper section does not start). I had saved at the Mog selection screen, so I threw the cart in a real SNES, but the same problem occured. Anyone have any idea if this is a sort of known glitch (game or Yobo) or if my cart is just crapping out?
Bucket #2 Posted October 6, 2007 I came in thinking it was going to be the "Draw Gau inventory glitch". Sorry, I've never heard of that one. Your cart may be fbxrd.
JB #3 Posted October 8, 2007 I'm more inclined to blame the clone. But FF6/3 IS notoriously bugged. So it could well just be an interaction between bad code and less-than-perfectly-identical hardware.
raindog151 #4 Posted October 9, 2007 Not exactly a rigorous scientific experiment, but I returned this copy for another, and played it in the same order on the NeoFami, this glitch didn't occur again. (Although, Cyan turned into a mog randomly outside Nikeah for no apparent reason for one battle.) I'm hoping it was just a bad cart, never had that happen before. gdement #5 Posted October 14, 2007 (edited) I'm guessing this could be connected to some corruption in the save data, and the game not handling it well. It might be worth a try to replace the battery when a battery-backed cart gets goofy. Edited October 14, 2007 by gdement
