Got a Lynx

Recommended Posts

Does the Lynx I say "Insert game" without a game in the slot, or is that just the Lynx II?

As for what game to get, it all depends. If you like puzzle games, the Lynx has a whole slew of them. Shanghai, Block-Out, and Ishido to name a few. Then, there's arcade stuff like Qix and Rampart. And then there's side-scrollers like Shadow of the Beast, Switchblade II and Toki. With a library of about 100 games, there's got to be something for you to enjoy. (I know, I sound like a Lynx ad. :) )

sometimes my lynx II says "insert game" when the game isnt all the way in, but usually it wont turn on unless the game is all the way in. W/o a game, it will not turn on at all.

try getting a crappy game really cheap, then put it in and see if it turns on. But be sure you use some powerful batteries, not those crappy cheap batteries, or you will get about 30minutes of playtime.

I suggest Shanghai. It's a fun game that's suited well to the Lynx. Infinitely playable.

Rampart is also excellent.

And I'd suggest getting a plug-in power supply. I never run mine on batteries.

Shanghai and Rampart are excellent suggestions. Both are common and can be found on eBay for just a few bucks.

Personally, I think the best game on the Lynx is KLAX. You find it for about $5 to $10 on eBay, and it is a fantastic game.
