Hi all,

Out of interest, how about a geographical survey to go with the purchasing survey?

Where do you live?

As time goes by, it seems the geographical distribution of active Jag fans may have changed.

Cheers,

JustClaws.

What's with 'UK & Ireland' and 'Europe'? Last time I looked 'UK & Ireland' are IN 'Europe', 'Ireland' even has Euro currency. Correct that please, unless you list all European countries seperate.

BTW, I live in DE, but for 18 years I lived in GB and 1 year I lived in F (and I own a house in F, so I am bi-country)

Hi,

Since when isn't the UK part of Europe? You should take that option away imo.
Well as a strong pro-European, I understand what you mean!

However, it's included because it's a different Jaguar sales region - so I should

really have included France as a different region too. Likewise I put USA and I

put Canada, because they had different markets conditions like UK and Ireland.

UK PAL Jaguars have different TV modulators built in compared to mainland Europe.

French Jaguars have only SCART (as France and Russia use the SECAM system).

NTSC Jaguars were the same across all regions, but different national distributors.

Cheers,

JustClaws.

Hmmm... right. You probably could have split Europe in major markets, so to see how many Germans, French and Rest-of-Europe users as well.

At least, this is how the market appears *now*: GB, DE, FR, other in Europe.

Ah, well. As usual, better ideas came *after* the actual publishing :-D

Italy here, by the way.

Now, let's see who can post a southern location below mine ;-)

Hi Thomas,

Correct that please, unless you list all European countries seperate.
One can't change a poll after it's started without resetting all votes to-date.

I am English, but lived almost 5 years in Germany, (2 Bayern, 3 Hessen),

and now nearly 5 years in Netherlands (Zuid Holland). My 2 middle kids are

products of that time! I may yet be heading back there, or Switzerland, soon.

It's regrettable, but true, that last time I created a poll with UK in Europe, a

number of people complained, but obviously geographically/politically, it is!

Cheers,

Richard.

HI Thomas,

I prefer the original (ie pre 95) Microsoft Encarta explanation of UK, " a small island off NW Europe).... perfectly describes how most Brits feel about Europe.... ;)

I just realised.... :-o

What's WORSE is that SOMEHOW(!!!) Asia went missing from the final poll.

It was in there originally, but some typo by me wiped out the opportunity

for the hundreds of (totally secretive) Japanese and Asian Jaguar fans to

make their presence felt. It was understood that very few Jaguars sold in

Japan (and Atari would have loved Xbox Japan numbers even!) but in the

past at least 2 Japanese Jaguar fans did show up at a Jagfest as I recall.

Oh well, next time... maybe Al can create some bigger survey some day.

Of course, this is an active-user poll, not like the Jaguar register which

by it's nature now includes people who long since abandoned the scene.

Cheers,

JustClaws.

The good old USA for Jboypacman. :)

always wondered whya "Good ole USA"....... barely been around except for last 3 centuries

I mean "Good Old England"... at least 1200 years as a political entity or even Good Old Egypt (5000 and counting) but USA?

Nick

True, but then the Spanish and the British gotten rid of the 'real' American inhabitants, who lived there for 2000 + years
