Night Driver #1 Posted October 10, 2007 Exactly seven (7) days from now, one of you will be the new owner of my Nintendo Virtual Boy and four (4) games. Who will it be? The games are: WarioLand, MarioClash, Tennis and 1995 Kemco Baseball (Japanese.) The system works well- but the right-eye screen is out of adjustment, or something. Instead of a fully usable picture, some of the red lines are straight and horizontal. [Maybe a mirror is out of place? Maybe it needs focusing? I don't know. I'm thinking that- here at AtariAge- every third person who reads this is going to say, "That dope. I could fix that in 20 seconds." Am I right?] Also, the rubber face guard is missing & there is some tape on the stand. All games tested and working. The Auction will be held by Private PM, w/ running commentary by me. Offer me a trade! I collect Nintendo, SNES, and 2600 and would love to be turned on to some awesome new games. They can have ripped labels, be covered in marker and chocolate.... well, maybe not chocolate... but- you get the idea. I actualy want to PLAY them. Besides that, I have an ecclectic pallatte of interests- you name it. Music, art, books, XL T-shirts, bottles of absynthe... What do you want to swap? Winner Takes All! GOOD LUCK! Super-Secret Special Bonus Gift(s) Included!
Ghost Soldier #2 Posted October 10, 2007 PM on the way.
Night Driver #3 Posted October 11, 2007 O.K.... that's a good start. Ghost Soldier has thrown together a decent collection of stuff that a trade could me made from. The auction is far from over, though! Keep in mind folks, I'm kind of a weirdo. I love oddities and cool gadgets and illusions and awesome, trippy lights and boxes of your grandmother's old family photos- as well as great movies (perhaps on the VHS tapes you have "cluttering the apartment?"), funny T-Shirts... as well as video games. Let's have some fun w/ this! I'll be throwing in some cool bonus gifts w/ the winning trade. PM me! Night Driver
RickHarrisMaine #4 Posted October 12, 2007 PM sent.... Oh, I can include the "How to beat the home video games volume 2" VHS tape in this as well.....
Ghost Soldier #5 Posted October 12, 2007 PM sent.... Oh, I can include the "How to beat the home video games volume 2" VHS tape in this as well..... I have competition, time to drop some more goodie's in my trade list 8-)
yuppicide #6 Posted October 12, 2007 (edited) I love the "boxes of your grandmother's old family photos". I was going to put up a rare DVD, but I think I would rather keep it now that I think about it. The DVD was Eyeball Eddie - This is hard to find. Most of the copies were kept by people who worked on or were in the movie. It stars Martin Starr (Freaks & Geeks fame), as well as Michael Rosenbaum (Smallville fame). The story is about a kid in high school with a glass eye and his relationship with it. I might put up some other stuff for trade, but I'll have to go home and dig through some stuff to see exactly what I have. This is off topic, but my Mother once had to shove a kids (real) eyeball back in his head after he jumped off the swings at school. I love that story. I bet the movie's good. The auction is going great. Ghost Soldier & RickHarrisMaine are battling it out like Ken v Blanka- and Blanka is doing the special "head chew" move. Really awesome package. Too good. BUT NOT UNBEATABLE! Keep the offers coming!
GreenDayRlz #8 Posted October 12, 2007 PRICE?
Night Driver #9 Posted October 13, 2007 PRICE? Billie Joe Fan- Hi. Thanks for the question. There isn't any set price. This is a trade auction. You decide what it's worth to you and make me an offer. As collectors, we all (I'm assuming) have a bunch of extra games and systems lying around- some of which work well, but are worthless in the market... due to scratches, splotches, chew marks, missing labels, etc. Maybe your longtime girlfriend left you last year and you put on 117 lbs? Not much use in keeping those XL T-Shirts in the drawer. They make you look even fatter. That's where the "trade auction" comes in. We both get to clean out our drawers and end up w/ something cool in return. It won't matter that your girlfriend left when you're leaping over pits of lava and playing Tennis w/ Yoshi. Side note: I once was a security guard at a Green Day show and had to play the "tough guy" (while they did an interview) and protect them from a throng of crying 15-yr-old girls. I later stopped the bass player in the food yard and demanded to see his backstage pass- just to bust his balls. He thought it was funny once he realized I was only kidding. Good Luck w/ the auction! Night Driver #10 Posted October 16, 2007 NOTICE Auction ends in 25.5 hours. RHM is way out in the lead... but there's still time to catch him! C'Mon- who wants to trade an Atlantis II, a Custer's Revenge & a NIB Obelix for my glitchy Virtual Boy? Anyone? Anyone? Bueller?

I Pm'd you yesterday with all kinds of trade stuff and never heard anything back from you at all if anything caught your eye and your auction time ends here in like 25 minutes. I take it my stuff isn't of any interest whatsoever? Kinda hard to make a formal offer when you don't answer questions asked via PM...

I got caught up in other things (work, esp.) and didn't reply back, like I had intended to. You have some really good offers there and I would like to keep our possible friendship & trading opportunities open. PM me your address and I'll send you something nice for FREE. No strings. Just to say I'm sorry. Also, we can still talk about a trade, if you'ld like. I've got some cool stuff hanging around. That being said: The winner is... RickHarrisMaine! I am DEFINATELY packing some good extras along with the Virtual Boy in this trade. I don't know if Rick was drunk... or what... but his offer was just TOO GOOD. PM to be sent. Congratulations, Rick. Thank You everyone else who participated. Happy Gaming! Night Driver
RickHarrisMaine #13 Posted October 17, 2007 Actually, Rick just took a look at his basement and was horrified at all the junk he's accumulated over the years......
BigO #14 Posted October 17, 2007 Didn't see this until just now. What a fun way to do a trade. I'd like to see what everybody was actually offering. I was going to offer handheld (Burger King) Barnstorming and Kaboom and a Dreamcast console and a partially working handheld cheapo Pac-man LCD game and a Tomy Busytown Talking Tutor and an Alphabert's Sonic Phonics and 10 Combat cartridges and . . . a bunch of other clutter. Uzumaki #15 Posted October 17, 2007 Easy way to unload old junk. Just shove that pile of 20 or so Atari 2600 systems and 50 or so Combat carts in one lot and call it a trade bait
The Shawn #16 Posted October 18, 2007 I gotta ask...What ta' hell did Rick trade you???? Also gotta ask Rick what he's been hoardin' down there in Portland??
