Mystery game 90's rpg/adventure?

Recommended Posts

I'm unsure which platform this is from. Might even be from an arcade game. Anyone have any ideas?

Did the seller have any info on it?

The style reminds me of Populous.

It came in a stack of videogame artwork like this one below. I'm trying to save my questions and do as much seaching on my own before I ask him. I have tons of questions for the seller and I know I won't get them all answered because I have so many. I was hoping someone would recognize it as it appears to be from an adventure/rpg game which in general are very popular. I was going to try and d my best research on this one and then if I still have questions ad it to the list of questions I have already started.

First i thought of Gauntlet 3 but the second pic don't match that as the guy has a chainsaw :-)

It seems stonehenge is having a central role in this game so maybe it's for an unrealeased sequel to Moonstone? You are sure this game was realeased?

No the second picture is the cover to Time Killers. Whats funny is that both have a skull with horns and the stonehenge rocks in them.

Just to elaborate on what I see:

It looks like there are 4 elemental worlds and each of them has an instance of stonehenge in it. Maybe that's the portal to get between the worlds. Of course the game might not actually call it stonehenge, that's just what it looks like to me.

I have no idea what game that would be, but that's my observation for whatever it's worth.

That's what I thought,so I checked wikipedia for the game Spellcraft and that's the closest I came....

It looks like something that would be an adventure (like gauntlet) style game set in the four elements rather than a true rpg game. Never seen it before though, so not sure what it is. :?

It reminds me of the Might and Magic map from NES. Where they put a grid over top with a-e running down one side and 1-8 running down the other. I think it has to be an rpg as most adventure games don't require a map. You usually have no control in the order which you travel in adventure games so a map generally isn't needed.

I was lucky and picked up Time Killers for the Genny at a Blockbuster liquidating it's 16-bit stuff. No instructions, but got the box and the game was in great shape for 10 bucks.

Well I tried to ask the person I got it from for more info but he seems to not remember. Some of the details have been a bit off in the past and I really doubt this was for an arcade game but this is what he said.

"I threw in a couple of "bonus" pieces, and that's one of them.

Unfortunately, I can't remember what it was for! Probably an ad for a

coin-op game"
