theking21083 #6 Posted October 15, 2007 (edited) Mine would have to be Defender. I hated that game up until a few months ago. After I sat down and actually gave the game a chance I became freakin obsessed with it. Edited October 15, 2007 by theking21083
mos6507 #7 Posted October 15, 2007 Mine would have to be Defender. I hated that game up until a few months ago. After I sat down and actually gave the game a chance I became freakin obsessed with it. To me Defender is kind of halway between Space Invaders and Pac-Man. Space Invaders being the poster-child for an arcade port that became its own thing on the VCS and arguably better than the original, whereas Pac-Man being a huge step down. To a certain extent, the differences between the VCS version of Defender and the coinop have a charm to it. I don't mind the graphical changes too much or the way the ship disappears when it fires lasers. The flicker isn't too terrible. But having to go under the city or above the playing screen to do the powerups was lame. I understand why they did it, but I still don't like it. Someone should hack Defender to make smartbombs and hyperspace use a booster grip or a 2nd joystick and then I'd enjoy it a lot more.
roland p #8 Posted October 15, 2007 It didn't like Metal Gear 2 Solid Snake (on the MSX), because the sprites didn't move as fluently as they did in part 1. Now I think it's a great game. Back in the 80's, my oppinion was that every Mario game sucked . Now I play them once in a while. First I thought that Shenmue was a resident evil rip-off, what was I wrong!!! I also didn't like the 2600, now I played some games in the emulator and there are some nice games for it.

I totally agree with the above statement for in my eyes the woodgrain 2600 is one of the most pleasing systems to the eye
