Krytol #3 Posted July 23, 2002 any way i really like them because i really like the games but i dont think any one but atari fans would like this stuff Well, obviously!
munkyxtc #4 Posted July 23, 2002 Excellent Paintings, I'd be very interested in the Empire Strikes back one, if it wasn't out of my price range, and I actually had money Keep them coming though. "M"
Curt Vendel #5 Posted July 23, 2002 Wow!!! The Yar's Revenge rocks dude!!! Nice work! Curt
JCroniger #6 Posted July 23, 2002 These look great too. I especially like Yars. Maybe I can talk my wife in getting me one for my birthday. Do you have any Superman (from the cart) art work? Jim
ATARIPITBULL #7 Posted July 23, 2002 Hey Krytol, show them the Raiders of the Lost Ark picture your doing for me, its great.
Marco(2) #8 Posted July 23, 2002 Hey Krytol, show them the Raiders of the Lost Ark picture your doing for me, its great. Oops! You better hide that from MattyXB, or he'll outbid you! Cheers, Marco
Han #9 Posted July 23, 2002 any way i really like them because i really like the games but i dont think any one but atari fans would like this stuff I would have to disagree with you there . The Empire strikes back and Invader paintings really have a very clean and interesting design. (I especially love the colours in Empire). I am sure that one could appreciate these without actually knowing what they portray. As long as one appreciates surrealism at least Hey Krytol, show them the Raiders of the Lost Ark picture your doing for me, its great. Yeah, please show us the Raiders one, at least when it's finished. I just luuuve Raiders.... And I promise I wont try to outbid anyone
BigWiger #10 Posted July 23, 2002 I like them all because it is an interesting concept, but it is plain. My favorite of yours is the anime pic that has the atari graphix in the background, despite the fact that I usally hate anime, because it has more depth for like of better words. Keep them coming. Paul Slocum #11 Posted July 23, 2002 I like the Yars one a lot. It'd be cool to use a painting for a homebrew label/manual illustration. -Paul
Chris++ #12 Posted July 23, 2002 I agree -- the painting of the Yar introduces an original approach to Pixelist art, and it's been your best idea so far. Excellent work. Chris
StanJr #13 Posted July 23, 2002 That's Yar's Revenge is a mother-scratchin' master-piece-a!!!! Good god ya'll! I can't believe my eyes, rock on, dude! I still love that plain and simple Space Invader one. Does it come matted and framed, or just the canvas? $45 for a nice piece of art like that is a STEAL people. You keep 'em coming, buddy. Oh yeah, and hock over the ROTLA pic already
Cassidy Nolen #14 Posted July 24, 2002 Very nice stuff. I wish I had some artistic skills. They usually come out autistic instead. I finally got around to posting the picture that was done for us by our friend Dave Dixon for our wedding. Its titles Gamenight, and as you can see is a Simpsonified version of myself (with the Atari shirt on), my wife (the blonde), Rev (my best friend and best man) in red, and JAMMADave (the tattooed dude who drew it) We love this thing. It is exactly what we do on Thursday nights, and looks just like our house. Wild. Cassidy
MattyXB #15 Posted July 24, 2002 Hey Krytol, show them the Raiders of the Lost Ark picture your doing for me, its great. Oops! You better hide that from MattyXB, or he'll outbid you! Cheers, Marco To late, I have hear it. But I have no money for that in the moment. But I want to see it when it is done. I have to buy some Rare games. And have buy to many in the last days. Here some new: Rescue Terra I complete for only 61,- Euro or a bit more.
StanJr #16 Posted July 24, 2002 Cassidy! that is WAY sweet! And that TOTALLY looks like you to! Way cool.
Big Player #17 Posted July 25, 2002 Wholly crap Cassidy, that is incredible! What I love about it, it's not copied from the Simpsons, but man has Dave caputured the style perfectly. Looks like you guys belong on an episode.
Cassidy Nolen #18 Posted July 25, 2002 Thought you guys would enjoy that. We love it. By far, our favorite wedding gift. Me with my permanent 5 o'clock shadow and bushy eyebrows.... I know you guys can see the screen is Warlords, but the woody on the coffee table is perfect shape and all. Dave really is quite an artist. All the black areas are done in tattoo ink, so its a funky purplish black. If I ever get the guts to do the Fuji symbol on my back, hes the man to do it. If any of y'all are ever in DC on a Thursday night, that is what it looks like around here. Rotation of the 2600, Dreamcast, and GC are pretty standard throughout the evening. BTW, Stan, you met all the people in the picture at the PC3! Small world. Cassidy
StanJr #19 Posted July 25, 2002 thought they looked familiar! Maybe I can get in on one of those Thursday nights some time!
Krytol #20 Posted July 26, 2002 I added an Asteroids piece I did with ink and colored pencil. Not quite as successful as the paintings, but I kinda like it. It's actually quite precise; my Mavica tends to blur things. http://www.clearfour.com/combatnation/atar...ariforsale.html [scroll down]
