Puzzle Quest makes me MAD!

Recommended Posts

Its not that the game is that hard. Like any other RPG, just stay leveled up and you can win your matches, but jeeze I get tired of the opponent getting in 5 moves to my 1. Some rounds its like the computer gets a half dozen 4 in a rows and then my turn comes up...Nothing. One measly 3 in a row. His turn again and all of a sudden he's got 3 or 4 more 4 in rows. I sit back sighing. Is it some spell they use? Or does the CPU just cheat it's ass off sometimes?

I have not played the XBLA version, only the PSP version.

The dev has said that the computer does not cheat.

At first, I felt the same way but then I start to play defensively, you gotta plan 1 move ahead of time. I.E. you have to see what the repercussion of each move. I would not do any move that will give the CPU a 4/5 in a row. After that, it was a piece of cake (with the right equipmen, the CPU really has no chance).

I'm becoming hopelessly addicted to this game.

It's a great, great game for sure.

Unfortunately I utterly beat the main quest and have moved on to other games.

Still, Luckily the game has online multiplayer. I played a few online games after I beat it. Good stuff.

I suspect I'll be playing this one again, if only the multiplayer.

If you play with a different character type, the game completely changes. Well not 'completely' but the different strategy you have to adapt to totally gives you a fresh perspective. That's what I'm doing now.. playing it with a Warrior. Definitely different :P
