Gregory DG #1 Posted July 23, 2002 Anyone installed stereo speakers inside of their 2600? I've read about how they were supposed to be included but were dropped... I've also seen the "open" areas in my 6-switch where they were to be. So, I was just wondering if anyone has ever done it before? What about other mods? I tried getting the A/V mod to work using Ben H.'s (the VCSp guy) instructions with no luck.

I thought about building the speakers into the console .. but it would require 2 amp circuits too .. and two (or stereo) volume knobs .. And then it would not make sense for me .. I'm used to looking at the screen and hearing the sound come from that direction .. unlike pongs, stunt cycle, and video pinball dedicated units (in which sound comes from where your hands are!) I used the IC mod that uses the CD4050 chip .. works great! I tried the mod where you tie Lum0,1,2,3 and Chroma together through some resistors .. but it didn't work for me. Definately do the stereo out mod ... Rob Mitchell, Atlanta, GA
