Doc4 #1 Posted October 21, 2007 I thought I would give this topic it's own section here. The deal is this, I'm planning on making posters of each game released from Opcode as tweleve ( 12 inches ) wide by eighteen ( 18 inches ) height. I'll be posting some samples online in the coming week for everyone to look at and will have a cost estimate for these soon. The original plan of producing posters at 24 x 36 inches was too costly and I can only assume that $36 per poster was a little too steep. So by reducing the poster size I can create a much more affordable product. At this point I would just like to see if anyone is interested in purchasing them. If the interest is too low, then it might not be worth the time, so tell everyone and let me know. The posters will be for: Sky Jaguar, Yie Ar Kung-Fu, Magical Tree, Space Invaders Collection and possibly Pac Man Collection and Road Fighter ( pending authorization from Opcode ) Again, I'll be releasing price info and sample images online soon. Thanks

Doc4 #8 Posted October 26, 2007 I have the first poster prototype ready and I've taken a shot of it to show everyone. I've decided the final product will be on semi-gloss 80lb stock at a size of 13 inches wide by 19 inches tall. This will allow the buyer to cut the poster down a little or to allow for a frame edge to overlap the poster itself and not lose any of the image. The extra border after the size increase will be 1.5 inches on all sides. The image you're seeing now is on 100lb Matte stock at 12 inches wide by 18 inches tall. The Matte finish paper just didn't have quite enough cool factor as the semi-gloss does. I'm starting with Sky Jaguar for this first run and will have a price estimate by tomorrow afternoon. I'll be taking orders after the price is online. Thanks, Dale
Doc4 #11 Posted October 26, 2007 I'm currently looking into getting the paper type. I'll be back soon with a price. Thanks for hanging in there.
Doc4 #12 Posted October 29, 2007 (edited) Hi there! As you have expressed interest in Opcode products in the past, we are happy to inform you that you can now buy some nice posters of all our games, thanks to an initiative of Doc4 Design (who normally does all the box, manual and label artwork for our products). Price Per Poster: $12.00 US Accepting check, money orders and cash ( at your own risk ) Shipping: $3.00 for flat box ( within the Domestic United States ) Shipped between two pieces of cardboard, flat. We've decided to ship these flat to prevent any wrinkling or damage to the posters themselves. Each package can contain a maximum of six posters to maintain this shipping rate. International Orders: Please contact Doc4 Design directly, at [email protected], with your address and we will reply with a shipping fee. This is temporary until we can get a common International shipping fee locked down. Currently Available Posters: Yie Ar Kung-Fu Space Invaders Collection Road Fighter Sky Jaguar Magical Tree Please note that if you are a member of the AtariAge forums, you can also send a private message to "monster angriff" to place your order. Atarifever #13 Posted October 29, 2007 I don't know all the players in the Coleco community, so maybe this seems like a dumb question to other people here, but why only Opcode games? There's no chance you'd do this for other systems or other homebrews is it? I'd love a Beef Drop or Adventure 2 poster.
Pixelboy #14 Posted October 29, 2007 I don't know all the players in the Coleco community, so maybe this seems like a dumb question to other people here, but why only Opcode games? There's no chance you'd do this for other systems or other homebrews is it? I'd love a Beef Drop or Adventure 2 poster. The artwork for those posters come from the boxes of Opcode games, artwork which Dale (monster angriff) realized himself. So he's just trying to make a little extra money from the work he has done in the past. Neither me nor Eduardo will get any money or other benefit out of this. Heck, we'll have to buy our own posters from Dale like everyone else.

Doc4 #20 Posted November 2, 2007 We've been selling a good deal of these posters already, but I wanted to bring to everyone's attention the new artwork that is about to grace the Space Invaders Poster. As the design has been modded a little, I decided to update the poster as well. I've added the Kanji and an unjustly forgotten Jess Creations logo to name a few things. Stay tuned for a new image update and let me know if you're interested in purchasing by sending an email to [email protected] Thanks everyone for the support so far. Doc4 #21 Posted March 31, 2008 All of the posters have been reduced in price thanks to the great location of Opcode team leaders being near amazing print shops. Please check out the new page at the Opcode Games web site and thanks to everyone who has been supporting this so far.
