goatdan #1 Posted July 23, 2002 Hey everyone, I posted this in the Marketplace section, but since I figured that these were the real jewels of the auction I better post it here too. The GOAT Store, LLC is currently running auctions for four of the remaing ten Midwest Classic copies of Mr. Roboto. If you want to snag a copy of this awesome musical hack from Paul Slocum, you might want to do it now before it is too late! By the way, anyone who bought them recently have any opinions on the game? krisjohn #2 Posted July 24, 2002 I got the ROM onto my CC a week or so ago. Maybe I would have thought it cooler if I were actually familiar with the peice of music used. Or the original game, sans music. I'm sure it's a cool hack, but I'm too ignorant to be able to tell.
tiggerthehun #3 Posted July 24, 2002 I bought "Mr." a few weeks back from the Goat Store - and I really dig it! It's gotten me back into Bezerk - and I can play it for a longer period of time without bordom rearing it's ugly head. BTW, krisjohn - you've NEVER heard Mr. Roboto? Wow! NOTHING PERSONAL - but I didn't know that was even possible. Guess STYX wasn't too big in Canada? Hmmm, that means you've also missed out on "Come Sail Away"... Well, download 'em off the net somewhere - good stuff - tho' "Sail" is much more timeless then "Mr. Roboto". I've got a number of friends from Perth that I met thru Pathways Seminars - good folks - every one of 'em. Domo Arigoto!
krisjohn #4 Posted July 24, 2002 in Canada? Australia, but you're close. And, no, I don't believe they were as big down here. Or if they were, it was "before my time".
tiggerthehun #5 Posted July 24, 2002 Sorry - my bad - just saw the Perth - hadn't noticed the WA behind it. Hmmm, good thing I'm a teacher huh? Well, at least I'm not teaching geography...
Joel D. Park #6 Posted July 24, 2002 I thought Mr. Roboto was incredible. The music is really flawless, I expected some kind of slowdown or something, but it's perfect. Also the labels were really nicely done.
