Shannon #1 Posted October 27, 2007 (edited) Boy I tell you. Sometime ago I made up my mind I was gonna switch to all wireless controllers. Three to four controllers. So I started off with the one. No problem. Thing is it does not come with the recharge pack which costs extra. Three more controllers later (plus additional rechargable pack) and that stuff adds up!! Egads!! Yeah I know I probably coulda used rechargeable nicads or something. But the thing is I'm the only one not lazy enough to charge them so that would have ended up being one big headache. Then on top of that I needed to get a mem card to store our profiles on because apparently with microsoft, switching hard drives is not enough if you want your machine connected to live! Talk about a logistic nightmare. Just the other day I hooked up the h-drive that had my profile on it to my sons 360 so he could play the demo's on it. Had to copy my profile and Halo saves to the memcard so I could play Halo 3 on my console. I copied the Halo 3 save to the other drive cause I just don't feel comfortable having a game save constantly writing a 10 mb file to a media with limited write capacity. Grrrrrr... I'm still waiting for Sony to release their controllers with rumble in them. I'm beginning to hope they don't come out til after christmas less the price crush me. I have at least two Wii controllers with rechargeables so I'm pretty good there. Boy they really suck you in with that crap don't they. moycon #2 Posted October 27, 2007 Boy they really suck you in with that crap don't they. Tell me about it. My house looks like an MS games division work shop. Controllers (2 Black, 4 White), Battery Packs, Chargers, Blowers, Headsets, Chat Keypads, Camera, Faceplates, Mem Card, HD-DVD drive, Remotes They come out with something, and I snag it. Lord Helmet #3 Posted October 27, 2007 I have 1 wireless controller for each of my systems hooked up to the big screen (Xbox 360 and a PS2)...well, except the Wii, where you get no choice. I figure 1 wireless controller is enough, since I rarely play with someone else. On those rare occasions, a wired controller is ok.
Shannon #4 Posted October 27, 2007 Yeah we have three people in the house that could be playing our systems at any one time. So it's not uncommon for us to have three controllers. Like on the xbox (not 360) and the Wii. But occasionally I'll get a fourth. The thing that is crazy is when you buy a wireless controller you have to turn around and buy the power pack if you want it to be rechargeable. They pretty much nickle and dime ya to death. Atari5200 #5 Posted October 29, 2007 why do you have to buy the power pack? Buy a cheap $10 set of rechargeables. Shit, i still use regular duracels as I get tons of battery life out of 1 set, i think the power pack is a rip off and unnecessary accessory.

Cheaper, and they work will all of my controllers.

Its funny because I do indeed have one of those charges and I use it for things like my mouse battery and the Wii controllers. I just like the battery packs on the 360. No way could I just use regular batteries though that's for sure.
