Gabriel says something nice about the DS

Recommended Posts

Front Mission arrived in the mail today.

One thing I do like about DS games are the cases. After so many years of crappy, easily crushed cardboard boxes for the GBA/GBC/GB, Nintendo finally put DS games in plastic cases which are actually useful for storage.

Of course, since the games are $35 and $40, it isn't like they're actually doing anything the customer isn't paying through the nose for. But it's still better than before.

I remember when Sega stopped using the plastic cases for their Genesis games and switched to those horrid cardboard-paper ones. (My copy of World Series Baseball is in one.) Sega said that the cardboard-paper ones were actually more expensive. :ponder:

The clamshell cases were great. After that, Sega kept on using really assy packaging. The overly large jewel cases which broke if you glanced their direction for CDs, and those damn paper boxes.

Oh man, I love the Front Mission series, let me know how this game is, I've been waiting to see if it is going to be any good before I purchase it.
