Fossil Asteroids Watch

I found a discussion about this listing on the handheldmuseum.com forums. It looked like a cool watch so I bought one from the guy. Apparently he still has over 700 of these. He's accepting $25 (+ $13 shipping). I'll let you know how good it is once it arrives.

I love mine, but I think it's an acquired taste.

The watch is HUGE so be prepared for that.

And people should know that while it is animated, you cannot actually play the game.

The packaging is pretty cool too.

they are definitly big. I bought 1 for me and 1 for my son. It's not so big I can't wear it but it is impossible to not hurt it when you are working so I put mine back in the box and put it with my collection. The box mine came in was actually cooler than the watch I think

Fossil made one for Asteroids, Centipede, and Breakout. Asteroids definitely has the best packaging: Asteroids themed clear plexi case, while the other two come in generic tin Fossil containers. Like everyone has been saying, they are freaking huge, and you can't play any of the games.

Here's a link to the post I made, complete with pics:

I've got a 9" diameter wrist.

Well after seeing how big this monster is by looking at these posts and Zwackery's old thread, I'm already a little dissapointed. I knew that the game was only a demo but it looked nice in the pictures and I'm a sucker for gadget watches. Maybe I'll end up keeping it in it's box, putting it on a mantle somewhere.

Don't get me wrong, I really like mine.

I wear it often since (as we can see) the value of these things aren't going anywhere and it is a cool

conversation piece.

It's a nice (big) watch. ;)

Just how big is this thing? I wanted one, but never got around to it. I also have what would charitably be described as "small bone" structure. My wife calls them girly-arms. So my wrists aren't exactly huge.....An I gonna look ridiculous?

I have the Breakout watch as I preferred that one to the others... and the metal box it came it is really cool. Got mine for $20 from a store when I was on a vacation trip last year.

It fits my wrist (after having a link or two taken out) but it is a big watch... I've always worn big watches though. :)

Although I'm an average or slightly smaller male, I like big watches. I have (among others) a Pulsar P2 LED, and Casio G-Shock Raysman and Sunseeker models. But IMO, this watch is only worth about $20, this seller is overcharging on shipping, and I'd have to pay sales tax too, so I'm not buying from him yet.

I got my watch in the mail yesterday and it's not bad. The quality seems good, with a nice leather band and nothing seems flimsy about it at all. The original price tag was $125, so for $25 it feels like a good deal =) I didn't find it too cumbersome. The display needed a good amount of light to be able to see the "scene" and there is no kind of backlight or anything, which it would have been nice. All-in-all it seems like a good watch for a classic gaming fan and as long as you don't have really small wrists it doesn't appear clown-sized big like I feared it would.
