Guitar Hero III .vs Rock Band help

Is there a thread here at AA that discusses GH3 vs RockBand? I want to get one of these titles, just looking for input or pros/cons between the two.

I don't have any of the Guitar games. I've played the demos in stores but can't get into them in the least.

From what I've heard Rock Band is going to be pretty awesome though.

I played Rock Band at Best Buy yesterday. Its like Guitar Hero...evolved

 

I'm going to have both. I bought GH 3 yesterday, and I'm hoping for Rock Band under my Xmas tree

I don't have any of the Guitar games. I've played the demos in stores but can't get into them in the least.

 

Every time I had tried Guitar Hero before, the song I had been forced to play was something I didn't like. Then one day, I gave a store demo a try because a thread here on AtariAge was fresh in my mind. I found Cherry Pie on the song list, and I tried that.

 

Having a song I knew and liked made all the difference. At that point, it all clicked.

 

So, my recommendation is to find a store demo, go through the song list. If there's a song you like, try it out. If there isn't a song you like, then it's probable that there's no point in even bothering with it.

 

From my POV, the actual game is almost irrelevant. It's all about the song list.
