Sunmark going out of business

These guys did some 8bit cart repro's or something right?

Wow, I just visited this site a few days ago, and it was still online at that time.

Yes, he marketed a few (with some controversy), and even made me a couple of custom one-offs on request. Nice guy, as I recall.

Of course, this was all before the wonderful AtariMax Flash carts were available.

You know what they say, all good things must come to an end. I did the

Atari stuff for almost 30 years. Time to hang it up. For all of you

procrastinators that have been emailing me that wanted something,

I will build what you need, but I will do so UNTIL December 1, 2007.

After December 1, 2007 I will not make ANY MORE cartridges, PERIOD.

So, if you want something, send me an email with your order and include your PayPal

username and I will send you an invoice. If you don't remember what you want, you can

go to http://www.sunmark.com/index1.html and see a listing. Do not try to order online,

it will not work. Email me at markdil@ix.netcom.com

Will you release the Romsets to the games you are selling after Dec 1?

How about a 32K cartridge for Atari 5200 that allows uploading binaries to it or using it as a RAM expansion on Atari 5200? I guess that's asking for something that may not be feasible or that would require you to be back in business to do.

Doesnt Classic's USB cart do some of this?

What's the URL for that cart? I was thinking of custom binaries that can use additional RAM as well.

You should have gotten my email by the time you read this. Too bad you've decided to shut it down...but I'm sure you have your reasons. Best of luck in your new endeavors!

Well just got off my lazy butt and ordered two R-Time Carts.

Didn't know we could still get them - email sent.

Ditto! I hope I can get one since I now have a Sparta Dos X cart (Atarimaz flash version) and an original ICD ECI+cart to PBI adapter (allows 2 carts to be plugged into the 130XE and they stand up like in an 800XL)

Hi Mark,

Any word on my order? I haven't heard a peep (ie. an acknowledgement that you're working on it). I'd hate to be forgotten in the shuffle!

Just got the "5200 Game Blast" cart, and it's pretty great! It contains the 5200-exclusive games (Countermeasure, Defender, Space Dungeon, Berzerk,Kangaroo,Vanguard) the games that were re-made for the 5200 (Dig-Dug, Centipede, Qix) and several 5200 prototypes (Jr. Pacman, Super Pacman, Last Starfighter,Stargate). 20 games total. For those of us who have an Atari computer, but no 5200, this is a great multi-cart to have!!! I'd wanted one for a while, but it took the announcement of the closing to finally motivate me to get one. I'd recommend getting one for yourself before Mark stops making these!

Just so that no one thinks that Mark and I are mad at each other, hopefully this matter has been cleared up through private messages. Just a mis-communication, that's all.

So I just finally got an actual Atari 800 (I have every other 8-bit production model except for the 65XE and non-North American models). So I finally get a chance to try my Monkey Wrench II cart.

Anyone got a manual for this thing? LOL Obviously I remember nothing from 25 years ago.

Thanks!
