That's great. Now we could all forget about that terrible NES GB game. Too bad Zootfly isn't developing it. They had good looking gameplay videos up on Youtube.

There is a CG-based Ghostbusters 3 in the works. Probably will look along the lines of Beowulf/Final Fantasy/Polar Express.

If you look at the screenshots, the characters really look like the guys in the movie! (im a 360 newbie so forgive me if those graphics aren't as incredible as I say they are)

So far from what I've seen the new Ghostbusters game looks really fun, and seems to have captured the spirit (no pun intended) a lot more than the Zootfly one.

 

The zootfly one looked and sounded way too serious, and looked too gritty, which really doesn't suit Ghostbusters or capture the spirit of it.

This has been reported on at Ain't it Cool News, and they made it sound like this game IS Ghostbusters III. Some recap levels from the first two movies, then a new story with Aykroyd and Ramis pitching in on the writing. Set in the 90's after the events of Ghostbusters II.

Now i realize that they're a movie site and not a game site, but it's the only really hard news i've read on the subject outside of GameStop's (made-up?) release date and a few rumor mill photos in magazines. So i'm inclined to believe that it's legit.

I AM SO GETTING THIS GAME!!!

 

Yeah, this is exactly the kind of thing I've been wanting for ages! Now, since I have neither a 360 nor a PS3, I'll have to decide which system to buy in order to play the game.

 

Oh, and there's also going to be a "Cartoon-ish" Ghostbusters game for the PS2 and Wii... so no matter what, I'm getting TWO Ghostbusters games next October!!!

Game looks fun, I seen it will be about a year before its ready. It will be for the systems xbox 360, ps3, PC computers and "water down" versions for PS2 and Wii systems.
