ziggystar #1 Posted November 17, 2007 I picked up at a garage sale yesterday 2 odd 2600 carts. They are both from the same manufacturer and in black cartridge holders with no dust cover on the bottom. One is Enduro which I recognize as probably an illiegal copy of Enduro by Activision, but the other game is called Iron Eagle and shows to people one on each side of the label facing a jet with blue and yellow halves. Any idea what this is? I could find no record of it anywhere on the net. thanks
ziggystar #2 Posted November 17, 2007 I did some searching for the enduro cart and found it in the database. http://www.atariage.com/software_page.html...areLabelID=1847 I believe this Iron Eagle cart is manufactured by the same, Taiwan Cooper.. Opo Terser #3 Posted November 17, 2007 Could you post of picture of it? I'm sure most people here would like to see it.

Foxsolo2000 #6 Posted November 17, 2007 Its probably missile war for it shares that particular label but I could be wrong. Never heard of the title Iron Eagle before. Over to you Rom
lucifershalo #7 Posted November 17, 2007 it looks like this one http://www.atarimania.com/detail_soft.php?...VERSION_ID=8570

Rom Hunter #9 Posted November 18, 2007 That's an interesting looking Cooper Black cart, ziggystar. Never seen it before. I would like to add this one to the Atarimania database. Could you please re-scan it for me so that the complete cart is visible? Also, could you show me a screenshot of the game in action?
ziggystar #10 Posted November 19, 2007 It is a very strange game. It's like a game thrown together with pieces of other games. You control what seems to be 5 space ships at the bottom of the screen. The screen scrolls left and right as you fly and you shoot what appears to be race cars. Screen Shot enclosed.
Deteacher #11 Posted November 19, 2007 Looks to me like Iron Eagle is a pirate of Tac-Scan. Search the rarity guide for Tac Scan and you'll see a screenshot of it.
ProperRogue #12 Posted November 19, 2007 I can confirm that is Tac-Scan as I have the cart. I love that game.
Rom Hunter #13 Posted November 19, 2007 (edited) Interesting. Thanks for the scan and screenshot, Ziggystar. It's added and will be mentioned on our homepage tomorrow: http://www.atarimania.com/detail_soft.php?...ERSION_ID=20398 BTW: is it PAL or NTSC? Foxsolo2000 #14 Posted November 19, 2007 Guess I was wrong. At least I can stand up and admit it Just goes to show, never judge a book by its cover
Opo Terser #15 Posted November 19, 2007 (edited) Yeah, Tac-Scan is awesome, I would have never guessed the game would be that. Edited November 25, 2007 by Opo Terser
ProperRogue #16 Posted November 20, 2007 Yeah, Tac-Sacn is awesome, I would have never guessed the game would be that. Oh yeah! I can play the 2600 version , and enjoy it ... great game. but ... if I really want my fix , I fire up MAME and go to town. It's one of those forgotten vector games that nobody really remembers. ziggystar #17 Posted November 21, 2007 Of course this cart does not display the Sega copyright on bootup and has a couple of other minor differences.
Rom Hunter #18 Posted November 21, 2007 Ziggystar, is it a PAL cart?
